The Isaiah Community - prayers for love and justice

Prayers for love and justice

St John’s Church, Waterloo, London SE1 8UD

Every Tuesday, 6pm, followed by refreshments.

Speaker on 2nd March –

Giles Goddard, St John w. St Andrew, Waterloo

The Isaiah Community is a new initiative modelled loosely on the Sant’Egidio Community in Rome and the Jerusalem Community in Paris.

It will offer a weekday opportunity for prayer with an emphasis on God’s justice in the world. A simple Evening Prayer (including Taize and other music) will be followed by a chance to chat, ending around 7 pm.

The structure of the Community will be very light, and we hope that it may evolve into something which supports and inspires Christians of all ages and all denominations in their work with the poor and for justice and peace in London.

You are welcome. For further information contact Giles Goddard, St John’s Waterloo – gileswgoddard@googlemail.com

Enlarge the site of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. Isa 54.2
