Youth Work
St John's Youth Club is a part of youth providers network in Waterloo. We minister to the needs of young people in the church and local community in close partnership with other youth service providers such as Blackfriars Settlement, SE1 UNITED local tenants' and residents' associations. St John’s Youth Club is represented on the SE1 Youth Strategy Group.
Godly Play Room
We have fitted out a state of the art Godly Play room in the Crypt of St John's Church. This is for use by our own young people and also for local, national and international Godly Play Activities.

Film Club
There is a film club at St Andrew's worship and community centre on the third Saturday of the month from 5-8pm. this is for young people under 16 years of age. We aim to show films suitable for this age group that are entertaining as well as thought provoking. The young people have the opportunity to choose the films that are shown as well as the shape of the evening.

Monday football sessions
In August 2003 we launched a Football Partnership Scheme welcoming church and community based youth clubs to come and play 5-a-side games in Waterloo. We are now an estalished part of the whole Waterloo football scene. Our project has developed by focusing on the only exclusively girls' football team in the area as this is where we identified a gap in the provision. The project was initially funded by The Church Urban Fund, then sponsored by Sport Action Zone - our kit was sponsored by Barclays Sprt4All; we are now actively seeking new funding for this important work to continue. The scheme works very much on a street level with the aim to involve young people in regular sports activities and bring various youth groups together.
We are inviting young women who are both interested in playing and in coaching - please contace Leroy on 07961 889513.
